We want to thank you all for making the Kumbhabhisekam and Jyotirlinga Yatra celebrations a memorable one for years to come. We have received many requests from those who missed the celebrations to keep the Jyotirlinga temples and the Kumbhabhisekam (Abhisekam to the Shiv Ling at the top of the temple) open. We will honor their requests and keep both open for a limited time.
We are going to perform Kumbhabhisekam ceremony in Sivalaya during Thanksgiving from Friday evening to Sunday Noon. Kumbhabhisekam is performed every 12 years in Hindu temples. It is performed to reconsecrate the temple and reinvigorate the divine energies of the temple. This is a very auspicious ceremony for all of us to participate in and energize ourselves spiritually through the various Homas performed as part of this celebration. At the end of the ceremony, devotees will offer sanctified water over the Temple gopuram, which is the Lingam on top of Sivalaya.
We are creating very beautiful replicas of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples, which will have its udghatana Friday evening with a very special program. This is unique and has not been done anywhere in USA as far as we know. We invite you to come have Darsana of Jyotirlinga temples right here in Houston, in our Sivalaya courtyard, with friends and family.
Take advantage of this auspicious occasion and partake in this once in a life-time opportunity to do Abhiseka to Temple's Gopuram/Dome. Limited Kalasa's available for this opportunity, sponsor early to reserve your Kalasa.
